Pumpkin Spice Honey Power Bowls

Pumpkin Spice Honey Power Bowls

With the weather turning cooler - especially in the mornings! - we're looking forward to warm breakfast bowls full of whole grains, nut butters, fall fruits, and - of course! - Pumpkin Pie Spice Honey

How to Assemble Your Honey Power Bowl

The beautiful thing about breakfast bowls is that they can be just about anything you want. Below we go through some of the basics for making a breakfast bowl that will fill you up and keep you going all day long, but don't be afraid to play around and substitute for your favorite flavors!

The Base

Putting together the perfect breakfast power bowl starts with the base. While we love oatmeal as much as the next person, we highly recommend looking for a whole grain porridge mix like the Hayden Mills Farmer's Porridge with its multiple types of whole grains or a steel cut oatmeal. These types of porridge have a more robust texture and lots of good-for-you whole grains. We also recommend making your porridge with milk or a milk substitute on the stove so it's extra creamy!

Once the porridge is done, try stirring in some pumpkin purée and cinnamon for extra pumpkin-y goodness!

The Fresh Fruits

Fresh fruit is always a must for power bowls, adding texture and a burst of juicy flavor in each bite. For our Pumpkin Pie Spice Honey bowls, we recommend classics like apple and pear. In season and easy to find in the fall, these fruits are high in fiber, vitamin C, and potassium to start your day right!

The Dried Fruits

We love adding a few dried fruits to breakfast bowls for both texture and flavor. Adding a much-needed chewy texture, we recommend cranberries and chopped dates in the fall!

The Nut Butters & Seeds

While peanut butter is always a wonderful go-to, we've lately been partial to almond butter in breakfast bowls with honey as its slightly more savory flavor is the perfect foil to the sweet honey.

Top your bowl with pumpkin seeds for the final autumnal touch and a bit of crunch!

The Honey

We're biased, of course, but we think the autumn flavors in this bowl are really brought together with a drizzle of our Pumpkin Pie Spice Honey. If you're not a nutmeg fan, try our Cinnamon Infused Honey or our Buckwheat Honey for a more molasses like flavor!
