Tasting Notes: Rich amber color with flavors of honeyed caramel and distinct, sweet-tart blueberry notes.
Our raw Blueberry Honey is a very limited batch that hails from a town outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In late spring, the blueberry bush blossoms with tiny white flowers that overflow with juicy succulent nectar.
Though our raw Blueberry Blossom Honey is a monofloral honey (a fancy way of saying it was made from blueberry blossom pollen) and not one of our infused honeys, we are confident you will taste this season's blueberries in every spoonful! Blueberry Honey has notes of amber caramel with sweet-tart overtones of blueberry and a delicate finish.
A favorite with children of all ages, our Blueberry Blossom Honey might just be best enjoyed by the spoonful! We also recommend pairing this Blueberry Honey with sharp cheeses, drizzled over a warm bowl of oats, or warmed with walnuts and poured over tea cakes!
Natural raw honey has the seemingly magical capability of spontaneously "setting" or crystallizing. Each honey will crystallize at a different rate based on the sugar and water composition. With its wonderful texture and more concentrated flavor, we recommend crystallized honey as a delicious spread over toast! If liquid honey suits you better, simply heat a warm water bath to 100 degrees and remove the pan from the heat. Submerge your jar with the cap removed and allow to stand 20-30 minutes. It will be ready to pour again! An uncertain amount of time will pass before the honey may need de-crystallization again, and then simply repeat these steps as needed.
