Intro to Traditional Tea
Curious about tea and its history, terroir, and culturally-specific brewing techniques? We welcome you to spend an evening with us in a small class setting to taste, explore, and learn about the world of traditional tea.
In this class, we brew 6 teas* of varying production styles with modern and traditional brewing techniques from China, Taiwan, and Japan. If you prefer to learn Western Brewing Techniques or are interested in brewing Herbal Tisanes, we encourage you to join our Intro to Brewing - Tea and Herbal Tisanes classes.
By the end of this class, you will have a better understanding of:
- What tea is,
- How tea is brewed by different cultures,
- Why taste differs from region to region or producer to producer, and
- What benefits may accrue from drinking tea.
The class lasts 1.5 - 2 hours.
Class size is limited to 6 and will fill up quickly. We invite you to join us in sharing good tea and community!
Please note: All ticket sales are final and non-transferable to other class dates.
