About Our Powerhouse Herbal Tisane for New Mothers

There's a lot of advice out there about what to eat (and what not to eat) or what to drink (and what not to drink) while pregnant or breastfeeding - and a lot of it is contradictory or confusing. With this in mind, we paired with a nutritionist / herbalist to develop our new postpartum herbal tea for a blend that provides maximum benefit for new moms and their babies without sacrificing flavor.

Chamomile - Ease Stress, Anxiety, Tension & Stomach Upset

Regarded as one of the finest and safest plants in the medicinal herbal world, chamomile is known for its calming but powerful properties. Chamomile also has bitter principles that stimulate the gastric juices, making it useful for promoting health of the liver and digestive system. It is a wonderful remedy for stomach stress, digestive complaints, nervous system disorders, inflammation in the joints and for healing wounds. It can also be valuable for easing stress, anxiety and tension, which may be common in the postpartum period.

Lemon Balm - Balance Mood, Reduce Postpartum Pain, & Aid Healing

Lemon balm is great for mothers that may be struggling with postpartum depression and/or anxiety. This herb helps to calm the mind and balance moods. It has also been shown to reduce pain after birth, helping to aid in the healing process from tears, labor pains, breastfeeding hurdles and more. It also helps to support liver health and can promote a more restful nights sleeps. Keep in mind that for some women it may decrease their milk supply, so be mindful once you’ve introduced this herb.
