One of China's most famous green teas, our Grand Cru Lu An Gua Pian is produced from a very specific plucking, where only mature leaves are harvested and the buds are left in place. Grown at 700m, our Lu An Gua Pian is made from the Dang Di Lao Pin Zhong cultivar.

Lu An Gua Pian (Melon Seeds from Lu An) is notable not only for its distinctive composition of mature leaves, but also for the blueish tint that is distinctive to this beautiful style of green tea. During processing, the leaves are heated in steel woks and flattened with bamboo brushes. 

A classic Chinese green tea, Lu An Gua Pian is high in antioxidants and caffeine and your initial perception of this tea will be dominated by beautiful aromas and flavors of vegetables that are quickly mellowed by sweeter notes of grains and roasted nuts.
