One of the most unique teas in our collection, this sustainably and organically produced Northern Taiwanese oolong is the product of a process created in Japan's National Institute for Tea Experimentation in the late 1980's. Through the use of the modern culinary technique sous-vide, an anaerobic reaction enhances the already naturally occurring stress reducing amino acid GABA. This leaves you with a perfectly balanced cup engineered for energy and focus.
Gabacha is the hands-down staff-favorite oolong at our Saratoga Springs Tea Bar. Rich but balanced, this oolong steeps wonderfully using either the traditional or western brewing techniques. The lightly rolled leaves give this oolong a deep amber cup with notes of dried fruit and sweet spice. Delicious, relaxing, and complex, feel uplifted and calm with this very re-steepable oolong.
